Janis Joplin was born on the 19/1/1943. She was an American songwriter and singer. She had an amazing voice and sung with the bands Big Brother and the Holding Company until 1968. In 1969 she began her solo career. She died in 1970 from a suspected herion overdosed. She was found in her home in her room , on the floor. Her ashes were scattered across the Pacific Ocean.
